About the Founders

image Scott Arpajian

Scott was destined to be an entrepreneur from childhood. At age 10, he took all of his little sister's favorite dolls and sold them at a garage sale, pocketing the proceeds. He has since made amends, but hasn't lost the drive. Scott has built over 15 years of experience with consumer Internet properties. Most notably, he spent a decade overseeing CNET Download.com, which he founded in 1996. During his time at Download.com, he grew the business to over 50 million monthly users and $40 million in annual revenues. Scott graduated in 1992 from Boston University with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. He is author of How to Use HTML 3, which won the Computer Press Award for Best How-to Book in 1997. He lives in Tiburon, California with his wife and two children.

Sean creates the architecture and executes technology and strategy for the web experience, including the delivery of the site content and tools. He is a technologist specializing in social software and rich media who graduated from Princeton University in 1992 and completed his Masters in Interactive Telecommunications in 1998 from NYU. Until 2003 he was a developer at Microsoft Research specializing in large-scale multi-user software systems, including MSR’s Virtual Worlds Project focusing on 3D authoring tools and multi-user interfaces. He was the inventor/cofounder of the social media company Wallop and CTO of Wallop.com in 2005-6.

Ken Marden is the creative lead overseeing content development, design and production for Dizzywood. Before creating the imaginative world of Dizzywood, he worked on creative content strategy and execution for several game companies including Hasbro Games Inc. Prior to pursuing a career inspired by his imagination he graduated from Columbia University in 1994. After graduation he lived in Japan for a year and then worked for a company compiling market research so that he could travel the world. He visited 80 countries and explored famous sites like the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, and the Egyptian pyramids (as well as many not so famous but equally amazing places) before retiring his battered suitcase. For the next five years he worked for the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard. He now lives with his girlfriend in Oakland, CA and in his spare time is writing a children's book series.
