Cloud Sprite Foresees Shift in Weather
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 30, 2008 – 2:05 pm -(Whispers) Explorers! Explorers! There is something I must confess to you before it becomes too late. I’m sensing strange winds and dark clouds coming to Dizzywood. I’ve overheard bits and pieces of my older, and much larger brothers planning a visit. With their voices not far from here, I’d say they might be in the mood to play some games. Don’t worry, they don’t get too out of hand-unless there’s a big event being planned. They always like to rain on someone else’s parade, but I’ll do my best to not let that happen once they arrive. That’s all I’ve got for you now. I’ve got to stay quiet for now, I’m trying to listen for strange weather patterns..

Wildwood Glen Reforestation Continues
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 29, 2008 – 3:57 pm -It’s noticeably easier to breathe in Wildwood Glen these days thanks to all of you that have been hard at work planting trees. There has been an abundant regrowth of trees, proving that Emperor Withering and his belch factories are not as valuable as the fresh air we breathe in Dizzywood.
As many of you may have noticed, Withering has had his henchmen plot dirty little deeds throughout our land. The conniving Rat Wraith attempted to ruin Presto’s Annual Picnic, and now the underhanded Professor Plumpox has been dumping toxic sludge everywhere!
Luckily, they haven’t hit Wildwood Glen during our reforestation efforts, but we must work fast! We cannot take the chance that a third henchman might do harm to all our hard work. Everyday that goes by Wildwood Glen becomes more luscious than before. With more help, we might get close to seeing the day when Emperor Withering leaves the forests of Wildwood alone.

Recon Goggles Bring Out the Spy in You
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 16, 2008 – 9:39 pm -Secret Agent Bear has been seen sneaking around Dizzywood on a top secret mission. He’s got all kinds of high tech gear with him to help him through his investigation. Because he could use some help, he’s willing to give you a pair of his Recon Goggles. Once you get a hold of them, go and gather a group of friends to form a team of potential spies. Have your team train by all dressing in the same color, then if you have the move “sneak” in your backpack, use that to sneak around Dizzywood with as little sound possible. You could also go completely unnoticed and turn invisible, but then no one will see your neat spy goggles! Here’s a group in training as we speak!

This just in!
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 15, 2008 – 10:11 pm -Access to the mines has been discovered. You will soon be able to explore its depths! There are tales of new critters roaming the mines, but they are trapped in Withering’s evil mining equipment. Be on the lookout for a light source that will help you to see in dark places. Spread the word and help those poor critters!
We aren’t quite sure what this is, but it doesn’t look good. Take a look for yourself at what Chief Pathfinder Burrows came across as he was burrowing through Dizzywood’s undergrounds:

Presto’s Picnic
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 12, 2008 – 7:32 pm -Hi there Explorers!
By now you may have noticed that Presto is putting together his annual picnic. It’s that time in Dizzywood when Presto reaches for the high shelf in his closet and pulls down his dusty summer picnic blankets, and collects all the necessary essentials needed to put together this fun-filled event.
Visitors from all over have been arriving. If you haven’t been there yet, make sure you stop by Explorer’s Camp to say hello to Sophie, the daughter of Chef Pierre who has come in especially for the picnic from Canal City. And be on the lookout for Withering’s henchman! They are always trying to spoil the occasion.
So grab your picnic baskets and head on over to Farthing’s Meadow. Presto has been busy setting up picnic tables and grilling on the BBQ. Find a good spot and invite your friends for this very special summertime event!

3, 2, 1…..
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 3, 2008 – 10:17 pm -Presto is extremely happy today because his special order finally came in! A special order of fireworks were delivered to Dizzywood today, and they have already been causing quite a bit of commotion. The receipt that we found tells us that Presto ordered three large crates of fireworks. He has been kind enough to let us all have some, if we can just find where he has placed them. Working with friends is always a good idea when trying to locate things in Dizzywood, so give that a try! Because this is such a special shipment, you will only be able to get a new set of fireworks once every hour. Once you find the crates, go get your friends and put on a show. It’s a guaranteed good time!

In the Depths of Tanglevine Jungle
Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 2, 2008 – 4:25 pm -Down in the depths of Dizzywood, remnants of the Onakasi ruins continue to be explored. Not even a week ago, a troop of Explorers led an excursion to discover what to make of a peculiar stone coffer in Tanglevine Jungle. Rallying around the coffer, the troop knew that it would open if they worked together, and something strange would happen. Oddly enough, the coffer opened, exposing a flight of stone steps that could only lead down to a place they could never imagine.
They tossed a small rock down to listen for when it would hit the bottom. “It’s a long ways down”, one of them said, as the echo of the rock’s fall made its way back up. As they stepped down, their hands reaching for anything to grab onto, bright colors faintly reflected off the walls. Realizing they were rare Jade stones, they began collecting each one they saw, dropping them in the pockets of their backpacks. They took notice that with each gem that was collected, more of their passage was revealed. As the final gem was acquired, a secret entrance to an underground chamber came into view.
“We’re here!”, one of them yelled.
“A room! A room full of treasure!”, the others gasped in disbelief.
They were soon surrounded by mysterious chests overflowing with Onakasi treasures. After gently brushing years of dust off the chests, they used what little strength they had left to lift the tops. “How long do you think this stuff has been hidden down here?”, one asked. They reached for their Dizzy cameras, documenting everything they could to prove to the rest of Dizzywood that they had found an entrance into a chamber of unknown treasures.
