Nursery Showroom Open

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on September 2, 2008 – 7:24 pm -

Hope you are all exploring, and enjoying all the new features in Dizzywood! Brooke recently started giving tours to the new Skyland Home, and she has now opened her new Nursery Showroom. You can now shop around for lovely rose bushes, trees, or quaint patio furniture. Perhaps a birdbath might be a good addition if you’ve purchased the new Skyland Home, or a large Wildwood Tree to give you shade as you sit and enjoy the company of your fellow Explorers.

To get there, you’ll want to go make your way to the Home Emporium by clicking on the teleporter in Presto’s Grove, or by clicking on the button from the “Home” tab in your backpack. Once you enter, look for the elevator. When you’ve entered the elevator you’ll see the button that will take you up to the Nursery Showroom.

*You may want to put on your shades while you shop the Nursery Showroom, it’s always sunny up there!

Pierre le Snout Seeks New Ingredients

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on August 25, 2008 – 8:19 pm -

Pierre le Snout has been looking to add some spice to his hearty bug stew. He’d be grateful if you helped to collect some new ingredients. If you’ve wandered throughout Wildwood Glen, you might have come across some Spindlebrush and Thistlepeach flowers, and maybe some Plushrooms. If you have some of these sitting in your backpack, it might be a good idea to take them over to Pierre in Explorer’s Camp!

Recharge Ghost Ray Power

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 25, 2008 – 3:47 pm -

In the past, Yagu, the Jaguar ghost, has granted you Ghost Ray, but it has become too much of a distraction from guarding the Jaguar Temple, that he has decided to pass the responsibility over to Onca. Now that the power is in Onca’s hands, he’s giving you the chance to recharge it whenever you run out!

Each time you want to recharge your Ghost Ray, head over to Yagu in Tanglevine Jungle and play his game. If you win, you’ll be granted with 20 charges of Ghost Ray. When you run out, just play Onca’s game again, and you’ll refill your power! You no longer have to wait a day to recharge it!

Now that you can recharge your Ghost Ray anytime you run out, we expect you to explore and Ghost Ray everything in Dizzywood. You never know what’s hiding behind something you can’t see with the naked eye.

This just in!

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 15, 2008 – 10:11 pm -

Access to the mines has been discovered. You will soon be able to explore its depths! There are tales of new critters roaming the mines, but they are trapped in Withering’s evil mining equipment. Be on the lookout for a light source that will help you to see in dark places. Spread the word and help those poor critters!

We aren’t quite sure what this is, but it doesn’t look good. Take a look for yourself at what Chief Pathfinder Burrows came across as he was burrowing through Dizzywood’s undergrounds:

3, 2, 1…..

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on July 3, 2008 – 10:17 pm -

Presto is extremely happy today because his special order finally came in! A special order of fireworks were delivered to Dizzywood today, and they have already been causing quite a bit of commotion. The receipt that we found tells us that Presto ordered three large crates of fireworks. He has been kind enough to let us all have some, if we can just find where he has placed them. Working with friends is always a good idea when trying to locate things in Dizzywood, so give that a try! Because this is such a special shipment, you will only be able to get a new set of fireworks once every hour. Once you find the crates, go get your friends and put on a show. It’s a guaranteed good time!

Ding Dong, Hi Amelia!

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 19, 2008 – 8:37 pm -

There’s a new gal in town, ready to teach you her skills. Who might we be talking about? None other then the very stylish, Amelia Vermilion. She’s got her blowdryer in hand and is willing to offer anyone a lesson on hair coloring and styling. Visit her by ringing the doorbell to her salon up in Skytown. She’s been really busy showing everyone her new techniques that she has misplaced many of her combs and tinting brushes. Play her game, to help her recover them, and she may just reward you with her skills.

Once you have earned her skills, you will notice them appear in the “powers” tab of your backpack. Now the fun begins!

Walk around and ask your friends if they would like their hair done. If they say yes, make sure to leave them looking fabulous (they are after all putting all trust in your hands!).

As they are fixing you up, you will notice some “session notes” in the window next to you that lists various questions. Those are there to help you tell your hair stylist how they are doing. Answering some of them will help your friend know what you want. Press the big blue “Save” button when you like what they have done, and you’ll be ready to go on your way and show it off! But wait! You forgot one more thing. Don’t forget to say thanks for a job well done, and add them to your buddy list, that way you’ll know where they are next time you have a hair emergency.

Here’s a look at some fantastic styles done by your fellow Dizzies:

Tips & Tricks for Dizzy TV

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 18, 2008 – 2:54 pm -

With the recent opening of Dizzy TV, we’ve noticed many of you creating news casts about new things in Dizzywood, announcing the weather for the day, and much more. It’s great to see many of you working together, and using your imagination to create such fun things. Here are just a couple of tips to help you and your friends while you’re in the studio:

  • The TV was last spotted with Melinda Swingtail while she was swinging from the trees in Farthing’s Meadow.
  • To get all your friends to meet up in the same Dizzy TV room, you need to make sure that they all have a television to drop in their own home (if they don’t have one, now would be a good time to help them find it). Make sure you are all on the same server. Once you drop your television in your home, you need to zap it. You will then be teleported to Dizzy TV. Just wait, and soon enough, your friends will all show up.
  • Did you know that you can walk behind the screen with the sun and clouds? You can also have friends stand behind the TV set and pretend to act out a scene, while someone stands at the camera and zooms in for a close up.

These are just some quick ideas to get you started. Let us know what you and your friends have been creating in Dizzy TV, and if you have any ideas to share with Explorers!

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 5, 2008 – 9:00 pm -

The essential power for the everyday Explorer is Ghost Ray! For those of you who have not attained this power yet, you must be in the quest of Yagu, the Jaguar Ghost. Once you have the power in your backpack, click on it to use it and then click on whatever you want to ghost ray! You can ghost ray a tree, a flower bush, an Explorer’s tent, whatever you’d like! You’ll see a white glow around it and within seconds it will become transparent so you can see anything that may be hiding behind it! Level Up!

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 3, 2008 – 9:19 pm -

Explorers! The time has come. Are you ready to go face to face with Withering’s minions? They’ve made their way to Dizzywood and are challenging all of us!

Make your way to the Game Wagon in Presto’s Grove to begin your quest. Click on the game of your choosing, and beat it. Once you complete that step, it will go into your backpack! Now you can play that game whenever you want! (Just click on the “Games” pocket in your backpack). Tip: You’re going to want to play these as much as possible to level up. The more you play, the more you will see your level bar fill up!

You’ll notice that you have a list of missions to complete for each game. Play and complete each one with the highest score and you will be that much closer to unlocking the BOSS level.

Once you unlock that Boss level you will be taken to his lair. We thought about posting a picture of one of their lairs, but we all agreed it was too bone-chilling to share. You’ll see for yourself! Don’t be alarmed once you’ve arrived there. We are confident that you will defeat them at whatever challenge they place in front of you. You’ve all done a great job warding off Withering’s destructive forces so far, and we know you can do it again!

Much luck to you Explorers. You’re going to need it!

What does the Cloud Sprite like to eat?

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on May 22, 2008 – 3:25 pm -

If you’ve been up to SkyTown recently, you may have noticed Dizzywood’s new Cloud Sprite.

Satisfy his hunger by finding him some Blue Elixir. We warn you though, it is a little rare to find Blue Elixir, because the only way to see it is with the special power, Ghost Ray. Once you have attained Ghost Ray, use it to see through things (trees, bushes, ruins, etc.) and you may find these balls of Blue Elixir. If you see them, click on them!

To give the Cloud Sprite the Elixir you have just found, open your backpack, and click on it. Then, it will ask you to click where you want to use it. Just click on the Cloud Sprite, and slurp away he will!

Yum! That’s exactly what he wanted, and who knows, he may give you something in return!
