Groomfur has released some hot new designs for February available in his House of Fashion now! They are super cute and definitely must-haves for your winter wardrobe. Check out these sizzling styles to keep you looking hot even while it’s cold outside.

We’re also excited to give you a sneak peek of the gorgeous line that Groomfur is working on for Valentine’s Day. He’s heard rumors of a party being planned and wants to make sure you’re all looking fabulous!

Critter Showdown Winners

Last week, Dizzywood hosted its first ever Critter Showdown. Teams supporting our new critters — trill, poppin, mossbear and catercrab — collected critter elixir throughout Dizzywood, working together in good spirited competition.

While all the teams did a super job, the Trill Team pulled out the win by rounding up the most critter elixir! Congratulations to the team, and thanks to everyone who participated. Our new critters feel very happy to be part of such a fun-loving and hard-working community!

Explorers also had the opportunity to submit their photos in the Critter Showdown Photo Contest. We received tons of fantastic submissions and put together a video of some of the top pictures for you. Also featured are our top five winners:

Catercrab, mossbear, trill and poppin! They’re hanging out at Gilbert Square East in Canal City and they need critter elixir to regain their strength from the long journey to Dizzywood. Can you help them?

Haiti Earthquake: How Dizzies Can Help

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, a major earthquake hit the country of Haiti and caused a lot of damage to the island and its people. They need your help.

What can you do?

Many organizations are already in Haiti trying to help the earthquake victims. Donations to these organizations will assist them in rescue operations; providing shelter, food and water to the people; and eventually rebuilding the country.

Even a few dollars can make a difference. Could you donate your allowance, organize a bake sale at your school, or ask your parents and neighbors to contribute to a fundraiser?

Here is a list of charitable organizations that your donations can be sent to:

The Red Cross: Text “HAITI” to the number 90999 to donate $10, which will be added to your next cell phone bill. You can also donate online through the Red Cross website. Make sure to check with your parents before doing so.
Doctors Without Borders: Hospitals in Haiti are badly damaged and overwhelmed. To help medical aid workers, donate through the Doctors Without Borders website.
CARE: This international aid group has already sent 133 staff members to Haiti, and it will be distributing food. You can ask your parents if they want to donate your family’s Delta Air Lines SkyMiles to fly CARE aid workers to Haiti or give money for relief funds through its website.
Partners In Health: You can donate to support field hospitals on Partners in Health’s website.
World Vision: World Vision has taken 18 tons of supplies, including blankets, tarps and water containers to Haiti. Show your support by donating through World Vision’s website.
UNICEF: To help children in Haiti, donate through UNICEF’s website.
Wyclef Jean’s Yele Foundation: Haitian-American rapper Wyclef Jean’s foundation to rebuild Haiti, Yéle, is accepting text-message donations. Text “Yele” to 501501 to donate $5, which will be added to your next phone bill. You can also donate through the Yéle Foundation’s website. Please ask your parents for permission before texting.
International Relief And Development (IRD): IRD will supply water, sanitation kits, medicine, hygiene kits and shelter materials. You can donate to IRD on its website.
Oxfam: 200 volunteers stationed in Haiti are providing clean water, shelter and sanitation through donations on Oxfam’s website.
The Salvation Army: The Salvation Army is sending 285,120 boxed meals of rice, soy and vitamins to Haiti, which you can help support by making a donation through the Salvation Army’s website.

Montana Jack Reports on the Footprints

Montana Jack has sent work from his jungle expedition to find the source of the mysterious footprints in the Explorer’s Camp. Montana Jack said he has tracked down the creatures responsible and that they are strange new animals never before seen in Dizzywood. He was even able to get photographs of some of them, but the images from his black and white camera were dark and grainy. We’ve enhanced the silhouettes here to show you a little bit of what these creatures look like. Still, mystery remains. Are they dangerous? What else can Montana Jack uncover? And will we see them wandering around Dizzywood soon? Stay tuned, Explorers!

More Mysterious Footprints in Explorer’s Camp

Another set of strange footprints has appeared in the Explorer’s Camp. And these tracks are different from the ones found earlier. What can this mean? Montana Jack has headed back into the jungle to find out what’s going on. Until then, we can only wonder about the source of these strange sightings.

The Paintbrush Gecko Plush

Hey Dizzies, we’ve got some really cool news to announce. Very soon, you’ll be able to get Dizzywood Critters as collectible plush toys. We’re very excited about these guys. They’re high-quality, colorful, and well, pretty cute! The first one we’ll be releasing is the popular Paintbrush Gecko. This guy will be a special collector’s edition and there will be a limited number available. Only 500 will be made and that’s it!
