Luau for Sophie

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on August 29, 2008 – 10:50 am -

Sophie le Snout is preparing for her return to Canal City. University classes begin soon, so the rest of her stay here will be short before she must return to her studies. During her stay with father Pierre, in Explorer’s Camp, Sophie was able to take part in the Reforestation Party of Dizzywood’s Wildwood Glen, and grill some tasty foods at Presto’s Picnic. She enjoyed meeting so many of you, and promises that she will visit again as soon as she gets a break from her classes.

In the meantime, Pierre has planned to make Sophie’s favorite, coconut pie! Cecil Sideshuffle, always ready to throw a party at Breakwater Beach, has taken it upon himself to host a luau for a good-bye party, and you’re all invited!

A Storm Brings in Fishies

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 13, 2008 – 12:38 pm -

Early yesterday morning a storm was looming over Breakwater Beach. The waves came in as high as five feet, splashing on anyone and anything that came in its way. It was much too dangerous to sit at the beach, but after the morning had worn off, the waters were calm once again. Restored back to its peacefulness, Breakwater Beach reopened, and there was a frenzy to see what the storm had brought in. As many Explorers ran in for a swim, some realized they were stubbing their toes on something rough and hard on the ocean’s floor, almost giving them splinters on the bottoms of their feet. When they dove down, they were shocked to find a small deserted boat without any explanation of who it belonged to. What the Explorers did find out though, was that the storm had brought in an abundant amount of fish. Looks like it’s time to go fishing!

Breakwater Beach Now Open with Fishing to Follow

Written by dizzywoodexplorersjournal on June 11, 2008 – 5:18 pm -

For those of you eager enough to find your way to the new Breakwater Beach, you will need to explore a little further to find the secret key that will unlock your way to the sandy beach.

Some people have already found it, and are refusing to tell how to get there.

Looking for some fun activities to do at the beach while your friends set up their towels and kick beach balls around? How about some fishing? Soon, you’ll be able to cast a fishing line into the water. While you wait for a bite on your fishing rod, take a look at these snazzy Dizzywood fish you may catch if your bait is just right! Once you catch them, you’ll see their vibrant colors appear. Happy exploring!

***A little note for all of you in search of the fishing rod. Someone has taken it, and it is nowhere to be found! We suspect it might be the workings of Withering, of course, because there was a note written in the sand telling us to look again tomorrow.
