Hello Dizzies!

Brookie here with some fantastic furniture news. Oh! Before I tell you how I got my hands on new furnishings, I want to ask, are you enjoying the remodel of my Furniture Emporium?

So, so, like I was saying. Eww is that a splinter in between my toes? Ouch, poor me. What was I saying?

Ah, I remember. Have you ever wanted to live out in the desert? Live out on a Dude Ranch with the sun beating down on you every minute of the day? Hmm, I might think about it if there was a swimming pool, and ice cream, and lots of shade. Well, that’s the inspiration behind the new furnishings that I’ve just got in. A very skilled artisan created these pieces and I just had to bring them in. I just know you’ll all find that inner cowboy in you once you buy my new Southwest Cactus Chair, Southwest Well Pump, and Southwest Snake Lamp.

These lovely pieces will be available this Friday, October 2nd!

So…what do ya think of my fab new Furniture Emporium? I hope you all love it as much as I do. There’s something there for everyone!

I’ve seen lots of Dizzies get very creative with their furniture, so I want to see how creative you can get too.  That is why I’m holding another one of my famous Home Decorating Contests this week!

Contest Theme: The Best Place To Get Homework Done! (We want to see how you decorate a room to represent a place you wish you could do your homework in).

How to enter: Once you’ve finished decorating your room, leave a comment on this post with your Dizzywood username telling me it’s ready! If you’re a Gold Explorer and have a mansion, please let me know the name of one room you’re entering into the contest (so I know which room to go inside).

Deadline: Sunday, September 13th.

Winners receive 5,000 coins and will be posted on The Explorer’s Journal Monday, September 14th.

Tip: Using your Magic Move and Magic Size in the “Home” tab of your backpack lets you customize the furniture in your home. Try turning your furniture upside down, making it large or super tiny, or really tall. The possibilities are endless!

I thought I’d pop my head in to tell you what I have been up to these days. Well, I’m jumping on the same bandwagon as Mr. Groomfur and remodeling my Furniture Emporium! Yes, yes I am. It’s taking a toll on my back though, having to carry all that heavy furniture but it’s worth it.

I want to give you a fabulous shopping experience, so look forward to my newly remodeled furniture store opening soon! In the meantime, please keep shopping my current Furniture Emporium located in Presto’s Edge:

Bake Sale starts this Friday, May 22!

Mrs. Whiskercheeks is kind enough to share recipes from some of her favorite baked goods to help out with this year’s sale. With all of your help, Mrs. Whiskercheeks and the rest of the Dizzywood citizens will raise enough coins to help those less fortunate in other parts of Dizzywood.

This Friday, Members will be able to collect a bake sale sign, yummy baked goods, and a special Cupcake Hat to host their very own bake sales!

There is also a special Contest Camera that will be released this Friday that will allow anyone to go around and take pictures of Dizzywood Bake Sales. We want to see who can host the largest bake sale.  So if you think this is you, or you see someone else with a great sale, you’ll want to make sure to snap a photo with the Contest Camera to enter it into the Dizzywood Bake Sale Contest!

Brooke Lodgington would also like us to point out that in celebration of Spring Fling, she will be selling a new assortment of furniture in her Furniture Emporium this Friday.

No lie, this was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. There was no way I was going to choose just one. So then I told myself, “Brooke, why not choose six?”. So I went back out and took pictures of the top six homes and put them in my journal. This way I can refer to them for inspiration when I begin to decorate my home for Spring (and you can too). 

So here they are. Congratulations to the top six chosen homes! Looks like the Spring cleaning bug hit them too!

It’s been quite the trek I tell you! Good thing I gave myself the last two days to do it all. Anywho, I just wanted to let cha know that we have now reached the deadline to enter your Spring inspired Dizzy homes.

I must now review the long list of homes that incorporated all the elements of Spring that I was looking for. I’d like to give a large beaver thank you to each of you that participated in this Spring cleaning madness. Don’t you feel better already? Redoing the fung sui of my home always helps me clear the mind and feel like having friends over for Spring Parties!

So go on, and have your friends over to enjoy your new Spring inspired homes! I’ll do my best to post the Top Spring Inspired Dizzy Homes tomorrow. Let me just rest my feet up on this log here and get to it!

So, what do ya say? You’ll help me, won’t you? It will be easy, really. I’ll give you today and tomorrow to decorate your Dizzywood homes and make them look fabulouso. Then I’ll walk around and tour your homes this Friday, April 17 and come back here to post photos of my favorite homes.

Because it’s Spring, I’m looking for clean lines, soft colors, and plants. If you can figure out a way to incorporate what I’m looking for, then let me know by leaving a comment with your Dizzywood username so I can swing by your lovely homes.

We know that a lot of you have been earning and working towards badges for Gardening, Exploring, Spying, Sprites, Crystals, and now, Monster Battling. You work so hard to earn these badges that we thought you could use something to display them with!

If you’re ready to show off all the badges you’ve earned, head on over to Brooke Lodgington’s Home Emporium (accessible through Presto’s Edge).  Walk to the elevator and find your way to the Brick Showroom to get your very own Display Pillar, now on sale.

You can buy as many as you’d like and place them anywhere in your home. After you’ve placed your pillar in your home, choose which badge you’d like to display and use your Magic Move to place it neatly on its cushion. These badges are valuable, so you must treat them with care.

These are great conversation starters when you have new friends visit your home! It always makes for good storytelling when you can share how you’ve earned all your badges. We hope you have a great time displaying your badges. You’ve earned it!

Want to know how to earn more badges?

Make sure to check your Missions tab on a daily basis. There’s always something there for you to accept. You may notice that after you’ve completed some missions, they go under the “Things You’ve Done” tab and stay there. Those are missions that you can always come back and do the next day for more coins. These missions also give you more experience, and the more you do them, the closer you’ll be to achieving the next badge!

I hope you all enjoyed touring the top five dizzy homes. I know I did. I thought I’d share my favorite room from flaming_nicegirl’s mansion. She labeled this room, “Beach Resort”, and with good reason too! The moment my claws dug into the sand I felt relaxed. I loved the way the trees provided a nice amount of shade, the way the beach towels and chairs were placed so I could relax to the sound of the waves with friends. It’s definitely a relaxing place to be (especially now that it’s starting to get quite chilly in Dizzywood).
