Background:
Onca is one of the jaguar ghost guardians who protect the ruins of the Onakasi Empire in Tanglevine Jungle.  Since he was first seen haunting the ruins, Onca has been dedicated to recovering stolen or lost artifacts.  If a young explorer proves him or herself worthy, Onca will bestow him or her with the mystical Ghost Ray power, so that they may aid him in his quest to find all of the missing Onakasi artifacts.

Recent archaeological evidence has revealed that, in life, Onca was one of the Empire’s powerful warrior-kings.  Hieroglyphics tell the tale of an arrogant ruler, who hoarded his wealth and showed little regard for anyone he saw as weak.  One day, Onca and his royal entourage came upon a sickly snake who called out for water.  Onca refused.  The snake turned out be a powerful Onakasi sorceress, who cast a curse on Onca.  The curse stated that Onca would return as a ghost and forever roam the Onakasi ruins looking for lost treasure, until Onca learned humility and was forgiven for his pride.
