Tanglevine Jungle is a vast tropical jungle that was home to the massive Onakasi Empire many centuries ago and is the current home of many different animals, sprites, and bogies. Tanglevine is both the name of a specific area of the jungle (where the Kaya River flows and the enchanted Onakasi pillars imbue explorers with magic powers) and the name of the entire jungle itself. The ruins of the Onakasi Empire, wiped out by the eruption of Mt. Kaklakala, are scattered throughout, many of the ruins having yet to be excavated and explored. In order to aid in the exploration of Tanglevine, famous adventurer Montana Jack helped set up The Explorers’ Camp in Tanglevine, the home base and safe haven for many scientists, archaeologists, anthropologists, adventurers, and explorers.
In addition to the Onakasi ruins, it is rumored that Tanglevine is where the legendary Lost City of Itza is located. They say that there is a lookout point in Tanglevine where you can see the tops of the fabled ziggurats of Itza and possibly even hear the drums and flutes of its many fantastic musicians.
